Carpet Steam Cleaning

  • How soon will I be able to walk on my carpet again?

This depends on the type of carpet, but usually it’s best to keep regular traffic off the carpet for 3-5 hours. Adults may use the carpet lightly, wearing socks or house slippers, but keep children and pets off of the carpet for a minimum of 3 hours. Some types of carpet will feel damp for over 10 hours, but this is normal and will not result in any problems.

  • How safe are your cleaning and protection methods?

We don’t use any type of harsh chemicals nor do we leave any irritant residues. Our technology and procedures are the most effective and the safest.

  • What does "cleaning to the standards" mean?

In 1992, representatives from the carpet manufacturing industry, the carpet cleaning industry, and the federal government established a common set of carpet cleaning standards. The carpet cleaning process should include these stepspre-vacuum, pre-treat spots/stains/soiled areas, hot water extraction, a deep rinse, furniture moving, and complete drying within 24 hours.

  • Can you get the pet odor out of my carpet?

Pet urine easily soaks through the backing of the carpet, deep into the padding. The worst case scenario is that urine can penetrate into the sub-floor beneath the padding, creating a complex problem. Urine also influences the growth of bacteria, contributing to an even worse odor problem.

If the urine contamination is only on the face yarn of the carpet, the carpet cleaning itself may remove the odor. Other than that, for severe cases, a urine neutralizer may be applied. There is also the option of replacing carpet padding; however, these steps may not guarantee removal of the odor (carpet replacement may not even remove it).

  • My carpet has bleached or faded spots, can you correct that?

We may be able to remedy the problem with a spot dye or do a carpet repair for you by replacing a particular area of the carpet.

  • Do you guarantee complete stain removals?

No reputable carpet cleaning company will guarantee complete stain removals because it simply isn’t possible. However, we do guarantee that we will clean your carpet as best as humanly possible and help add some years to its life.

Upholstery Cleaning

  • How long will the upholstery take to dry?

Our truck-mounted equipment has powerful vacuums that will get most of the water out during the upholstery cleaning process, and after we will use powerful air movers to complete, and speed up, the drying process. The average drying time is between 1-3 hours; however, the type of upholstery can affect the drying time.

  • Do you apply a protectant on the upholstery?

We have a protectant made just for upholstery to protect it from everyday wear and tear, and we will apply it to your upholstery upon request. This is recommended because upholstery  is constantly being used, just like carpet, and a protectant would prolong the life of the upholstery.

  • Do you clean mattresses?

We are able to clean mattresses, as they are used constantly and attract large amounts of dust mites, bacteria and viruses. Most people will overlook cleaning their mattresses, but we urge you to consider having them cleaned because clean mattresses will make your environment healthier.

  • Concerning upholstery that prompts for Dry Clean Only: are you able to clean them?

We are able to clean most upholstery that is prompted for Dry Clean Only, but not all of them. Our technicians must evaluate your upholstery first, and then determine if we are able to service them or not.

Tile and Stone Cleaning

  • Why isn’t mopping enough for tile/stone or grout?

Just like vacuuming isn’t enough to get your carpets thoroughly cleaned, mops can only do so much. We use a steam machine that is incredibly superior to mops, or even steam machines for rent, as it operates at 800-1,200 PSI water pressure and 240 degrees water temperature. If you want your tile, stone or grout to be completely clean, then there is no exception.

  • How effective are the tile and grout cleaners that can be bought from stores?

Nothing beats your tile/grout/stone floors from being professionally cleaned, and you’re ultimately getting what you pay for. These user-friendly formulas sold in stores actually eat away at your tile/grout/stone floors, so the best way to clean them is to hire professionals.

  • Is sealing your floor necessary?

Sealing your tile or stone floors will help to preserve its beauty, and also decrease the risk of bacteria or mold building up. Sealed tile or stone floors will also help you save money, as it is easier to maintain sealed stone or tile.

  • How long will the sealant hold?

The sealant will hold for months, protecting your tile, grout or stone from spills and stains.

  • Is it possible for you to change the shade of the tile/stone floor?

It is possible to alter the shade of your tile or stone floor to be darker with oil-based topcoat sealers. We can also dye the sealer if you request us to do so to change the color.

Air Duct Cleaning

  • How often should my air ducts be cleaned?

Your air ducts should be cleaned based on your household size and environment, but having them cleaned at least once a year is recommended. Having your air ducts professionally cleaned will help you have a healthy environment, reducing the build-up of dirt and debris.

  • How do leaking air ducts effect me?

There will be an increase in costs for electricity, especially with air conditioning and heating costs. You will also be spending more on HVAC parts, so overall leaky air ducts means unnecessary money out of your wallet. If you have your air ducts sealed, you will lower the costs of your bills and improve the comfort of your home or office.

  • When should my furnace be cleaned/inspected?

Your furnace should be cleaned and inspected at least once a year, but it should be cleaned more frequently depending on the build-up. If there is too much build-up of dirt, the reliability of the furnace will decrease, stacking up the potential problems if it’s ignored.

  • What happens if too much dirt and debris build up in my heating and air conditioning system ?

More dirt and debris will rotate in your home, making for an unhealthy living space. Energy costs will increase if the dirt and debris in your heating and air conditioning system are ignored. The costs of your electric bills may increase by 25% or more annually, and may also cause equipment to fail earlier than it should, leading to expensive repair bills.

  • Should I have my chimney cleaned?

Yes, your chimney should be swept at least once a year by professionals. We can inspect your chimneys for build-up and damage, and clean it thoroughly for proper ventilation.

Dryer Vent Cleaning

  • What are some signs that my dryer vent needs to be cleaned?

Usually, if your clothes take more than half an hour to dry, if you’re drying a normal load, then your dryer vent needs to be cleaned. Additionally, if the clothes in the dryer are hot when you touch them, your dryer vent is probably clogged and needs to be cleaned out.

  • How often should my dryer vent be serviced?

You should monitor your dryer vent all the time, making sure your normal loads don’t take more than 30 minutes to dry and also checking to see if the clothes are hot to the touch. It is recommended that you get your dryer vent cleaned at least annually to avoid potential complications.

  • Why isn’t cleaning the lint screen enough?

The lint screen will catch a lot of lint, dust and debris, but it doesn’t catch everything. The vent can still become clogged by dirt and debris because the lint screen doesn’t filter everything out.

  • Why should I have my dryer vent cleaned if nothing is wrong with it?

You can lower the risk of potential problems your dryer vent may have in the future, like dryer fires, and also save on your utility bill by making the dryer vent more efficient if it’s cleaned properly. Even if you don’t notice anything wrong with your dryer vent, there is still possibly lots of build up and debris that will cause problems in the long run.

  • How fast is your response time to a flood emergency?

Our technicians will respond as soon as possible, but it depends on where you are located. In most cases we can have one of our technicians at your home or office in about an hour from the time you call us. We are here to take care of your flood emergencies 24/7 around the clock.

  • Does my insurance cover your flood services?

It depends on your insurance company and their policy, since each one is different and has their own restrictions. In most scenarios, an insurance company can cover the cost of putting your property back to pre-flood conditions, but it is best to check with your insurance company to see what it can cover.

  • Will mold form after the flood?

It all depends on when the flood happens, when you call and how fast we can respond to your emergency. If we are able to respond early enough and begin the drying process quickly, then we can greatly reduce the potential of mold forming. However, if mold does form, we have the equipment and experience to take care of that for you as well if you request for our mold remediation services.

  • How long will the drying process take?

  • What if the flood damage is beyond repair?

We are able to restore most materials damaged by flood; however, if the flood damage is beyond repair in some areas, we are able to remove certain materials.

  • Will you work with my insurance company?

Yes, we will work with your insurance company to settle the claim. We will also refer to your insurance company’s pricing structure to get your claim settled.
